Pierre Boisson, Pommard, 2018
Red
750ml
Label : Good Label
Level : Neck Level
Capsule : Good Capsule
🏰 The 2018 vintage in Burgundy generally produced wines with good ripeness and concentration. This Pierre Boisson Pommard 2018 offers a structured yet polished character, showcasing pure red and black fruits with earthy undertones. On the nose, expect red plum, strawberry, red cherry, evolving with cedar, cloves, and forest floor notes. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy acidity, crunchy red fruit, and silky tannins, leading to a bright, lively finish with subtle mineral grip. 【 Structured yet polished expression 】
🍴 This Pommard pairs beautifully with rich and flavorful cuisine. Consider grilled or braised red meats, game dishes, traditional beef bourguignon, or aged washed-rind cheeses like Époisses. It also complements Italian roast pork (porchetta) or Moroccan spiced chicken.
🥂 This wine is approachable now with some aeration, but it also possesses excellent aging potential, allowing it to evolve further in complexity over time.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Pierre Boisson/Anne Boisson is a family winery. The winery is run by father Bernard (retired in 2016), son Pierre and daughter Anne. Although it is the same winery, the wines produced by the three people will be labeled separately. on their respective names. They jointly own 8.5 hectares of land around the Cote de Beaune, and the vineyard's terroir is wet stone and flint, giving the grapes more minerality.
