🏰 The 2014 Maison Leroy Bourgogne Rouge, a testament to Lalou Bize-Leroy's meticulous philosophy, was released a year later than its successor, deemed by Madame Leroy to need more time to fully express itself. The 2014 Burgundy vintage, despite a challenging start, ultimately produced good wines. This Pinot Noir offers a harmonious blend of red and dark fruits like cherry and blackberry, beautifully complemented by earthy undertones and a hint of spice. The palate reveals impressive depth and structure, with firm yet fine tannins and a lingering finish that speaks to its aging potential. Expect spicy cherry and blackberry fruit over gravel, with immediate power and firm acidity. 【Meticulous care and patience characteristic of Leroy's winemaking philosophy, released later for optimal readiness】.
🍴 This elegant Bourgogne Rouge finds an amazing partner in roast duck. It also pairs wonderfully with other poultry like chicken and turkey, as well as earthy mushroom dishes and lighter game.
🥂 An excellent choice for a special dinner, a gathering of Burgundy aficionados, or any occasion calling for a wine of elegance, depth, and proven aging capability. It's drinking beautifully now but promises further evolution in the cellar.
