🏰news | features + short tasting note IN ENGLISH
【The 2014 Henri Germain Meursault Limozin, from a highly regarded white Burgundy vintage, offers a classic expression of Meursault's rich and mineral-driven terroir.】 While specific vintage notes for this particular wine are not widely available, the 2014 vintage for white Burgundy is generally celebrated for its freshness, purity, and excellent aging potential. Henri Germain is known for crafting Meursaults that balance richness with vibrant acidity. Expect a wine with a golden hue, offering aromas of ripe citrus, white flowers, toasted nuts, and a hint of butter or brioche. On the palate, it should be full-bodied and creamy, yet with a refreshing minerality and a long, elegant finish.
🍴 Chinese Cantonese food pairing various types of suggestion east or west corresponding to wine cost IN ENGLISH
This Meursault would be exquisite with Cantonese steamed scallops with vermicelli and garlic, or a rich double-boiled chicken soup. For Western cuisine, consider pan-seared foie gras, roasted turbot with beurre blanc, or a creamy mushroom risotto. It also pairs beautifully with mature Comté or Gruyère cheese.
🥂 fit for event suggestion IN ENGLISH
Perfect for a sophisticated dinner party, a special anniversary, or as a thoughtful gift for a white Burgundy enthusiast. This wine is drinking beautifully now but also has the structure to age gracefully for several more years, developing further complexity. Serve chilled at 12-14°C.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Henri Germain is located in the village of Meursault in Burgundy, France. The primary grape varieties cultivated are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate was founded in 1973 when Henri Germain purchased some Meursault vineyards from his wife's family, the Pillots, and acquired additional land in Chassagne. Currently, the domaine owns around 7 hectares of land, spread across Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Beaune.
