Henri Germain, Meursault Chevalieres, 2019
White
750ml
Label : Good Label
Level : Neck Level
Capsule : Good Capsule
🏰The 2019 Burgundy white vintage is a 【fantastic year for Côte de Beaune whites, offering generous, exuberant wines with remarkable concentration, texture, and vibrant acidity from low yields】. Domaine Henri Germain, a highly respected Meursault producer, crafts this 'Les Chevalières' from thin, rocky limestone soils, resulting in delicate and perfumed wines. Expect a beautiful nose of orchard fruits, mineral, citrus zest, and floral notes, with an impressive intensity and energy on the palate. It offers a rich, honeyed, nutty character balanced by freshness and a lively, uplifting citrus finish.
🍴 This concentrated yet fresh Meursault would be an excellent match for rich fish like salmon or tuna, mild and soft cheeses, or classic French poultry dishes such as roasted chicken with cream sauce.
🥂 An ideal wine for a celebratory dinner, a special gathering with friends, or a moment to appreciate a beautifully balanced and expressive white Burgundy.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Henri Germain is located in the village of Meursault in Burgundy, France. The primary grape varieties cultivated are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate was founded in 1973 when Henri Germain purchased some Meursault vineyards from his wife's family, the Pillots, and acquired additional land in Chassagne. Currently, the domaine owns around 7 hectares of land, spread across Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Beaune.
