Jean Jacques Confuron, Clos De Vougeot Grand Cru, 2020
🏰 The 2020 vintage in Burgundy was generally considered excellent, producing wines with both richness and freshness, promising great aging potential. Jean Jacques Confuron's Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2020 is expected to be a powerful and structured expression of Pinot Noir. Clos de Vougeot wines are known for their deep color, intense aromas of red and black fruits, often with earthy undertones, forest floor, and a savory complexity that develops with age. This young Grand Cru will be tightly wound in its youth, demanding patience to fully reveal its aristocratic character and profound depth. 【 A powerful and structured Grand Cru Burgundy from an excellent vintage. 】
🥂 This prestigious Grand Cru Burgundy is ideal for a significant milestone celebration, a serious wine tasting among connoisseurs, or a very special dinner where its complexity can be the star. It's a wine to be savored and discussed.
🍴 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru pairs exquisitely with roasted game birds like pheasant or duck, beef dishes such as a classic boeuf bourguignon or a perfectly seared fillet, and rich mushroom-based dishes. It also complements sophisticated cheese platters featuring aged Comté or Époisses.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Jean Jacques Confuron is a wine producer located in Premeaux, near Nuits-Saint-Georges in the Côte de Nuits, Burgund, France. The viticultural portfolio is now approximately 95-percent Pinot Noir with small plantings of Chardonnay and Aligoté. The domaine has 8 hectares (19 acres) of vines across 14 appellations, including plots in the prestigious grand cru vineyards Clos de Vougeot and Romanée-Saint-Vivant. The domaine began with the marriage of Jean Confuron and Anne Marie Bouchard in 1926, bringing together the vineyards of two different families. These vineyards have been passed through the family since, and the domaine has expanded as well, picking up plots in the prestigious grand cru sites.
