🏰 From the esteemed Reynaud family, the 2006 Chateau des Tours Vacqueyras Rouge offers 【excellent value and a structured, powerful expression】 from the estate's oldest vines. This wine is fully mature and drinking well now. Expect a nose full of wild strawberries and nutmeg, evolving to jammy southern fruits like figs and plums, with a medley of spices. The palate is well-rounded with polished tannins and a good backbone of acidity, dominated by strawberry liqueur and prunes with additional spice notes. It's a rich and intense Southern Rhône red.
🍴 A superb pairing for roasted lamb, game (deer, venison), or beef. Its rich and spicy profile also complements Mediterranean cuisine, hearty stews, or strong, aged cheeses. For a local touch, try it with Cantonese roasted goose or braised pork belly.
🥂 Ideal for a hearty family meal or a gathering with friends who appreciate mature Rhône wines. This wine is at its peak, so enjoy it now. Serve at 16-18°C (60-64°F). Decanting for an hour or two can help it fully open up.
