FEATURES
🏰 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg is a highly respected Burgundy estate, celebrated for producing elegant and refined wines. Echezeaux is a prestigious Grand Cru vineyard in the Côte de Nuits. The 2015 vintage in Burgundy was generally excellent, yielding rich, concentrated, and structured wines with great aging potential. The Echezeaux from this domaine is a meticulous blend of two parcels: over 70-year-old vines from La Rouge du Bas and younger vines from Quartier de Nuits, both picked on the same day and co-fermented. It is matured in 60% new oak, the maximum used by the domaine.
The 2015 Echezeaux Grand Cru boasts a glorious bouquet with ripe black cherries, raspberry, violets, and a subtle marine influence, with a touch of flint tucked underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with supple sweet tannin, revealing layers of ripe black cherries, mulberry, and a touch of quince, structured on the finish with enormous length. It offers an exhilarating balance of almost chocolatey sweetness and penetrating acidity. Other notes describe a bright medium ruby color, a pure but subtle nose of blackberry, dark cherry, violet, dark chocolate, and orange zest. It's also characterized as opulent, dense, rich, ripe, with prominent black fruits and spices. 【A glorious Grand Cru from a top Burgundy estate, showcasing a complex bouquet and enormous length, blending fruit opulence with refined structure.】
🍴 This exceptional Grand Cru Burgundy would be magnificent with classic pairings such as roasted duck with truffles, slow-cooked beef short ribs, or a rich mushroom and game pie. For an Eastern culinary pairing, consider a refined braised pigeon or a savory mushroom and black truffle hotpot.
🥂 Ideal for a celebratory dinner, a significant milestone, or a serious wine tasting among connoisseurs. This wine is built for long development and is expected to evolve beautifully over time.
