🏰The 2009 vintage in Burgundy was highly acclaimed, known for producing 【rich, ripe, and opulent Pinot Noirs with excellent concentration and balance】. Trapet's Chambertin Grand Cru 2009 embodies this, offering a powerful yet elegant expression of this prestigious terroir. Expect a symphony of red and dark berry fruits, earthy undertones, and subtle spice, all framed by fine-grained tannins and a long, lingering finish. This wine is still evolving beautifully.
🍴 This majestic red Burgundy demands equally refined food. Classic pairings include roasted game birds like duck or pheasant, lamb with herbs, or delicate beef preparations such as filet mignon. It also shines with mushroom-based dishes, especially those featuring truffles, and aged, mild cheeses.
🥂 Perfect for a milestone celebration, a serious wine tasting, or an intimate gourmet dinner. Its complexity and depth make it a wine to be savored and discussed. Serve at 16-18°C (60-64°F) after decanting for 1-2 hours to allow its full aromatic spectrum to emerge.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Trapet is a wine company comprised of two estates, one in Alsace, the other in Burgundy. The company in its current dual-region configuration formed when Andrée Trapet inherited her parents' vineyards in Alsace in 2002. Her husband Jean-Louis has run Domaine Trapet Père et Fils in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1990, when he took over from his father Jean.
