Marchand Grillot, Ruchottes Chambertin Grand Cru, 2000
🏰 The 2000 vintage in Burgundy was generally good, and this Marchand Grillot Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru, a highly esteemed red Burgundy, is now beautifully mature, offering 【elegance and complexity developed over two decades】. Expect a bouquet of mature red fruit, earthy notes, forest floor, and potentially some spice and delicate floral hints, characteristic of fine Pinot Noir.
🍴 This exquisite red wine is a superb match for roasted game birds like duck or pheasant, rich mushroom dishes, Coq au Vin, or a selection of fine, aged cheeses.
🥂 Ideal for a special celebratory dinner, a sophisticated wine tasting session for dedicated Burgundy lovers, or a memorable anniversary. For this 2000 vintage, decanting for 1-2 hours is recommended to allow the wine to fully open up and to separate any potential sediment. Serve at 16-18°C (60-64°F). Remember to check the cork carefully due to its age.
