La Rasina is a family-owned estate located on the eastern slopes of Montalcino in Tuscany. Founded in the 1970s by Santi Mantengoli, the winery is now run by his grandson, Marco. The estate transitioned to organic farming to better express the terroir of their vineyards, which benefit from excellent sun exposure and cooling breezes. Their Brunello di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso. It is aged in a mix of traditional large Slavonian oak casks and smaller French oak barriques. The resulting wine is a modern yet classic expression, offering rich aromas of ripe cherry, leather, and spice, with a powerful, structured palate.
