FEATURES
🏰 The 2022 Domaine Hubert Lignier Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées comes from a generous vintage that benefited from favourable climatic conditions, allowing optimal ripeness and resulting in a wine with a beautiful balance between power and elegance. This superb Gevrey-Chambertin is crafted from very old vines, some planted pre-war and others in the 1950s-60s, located just below the Grand Cru Mazoyères-Chambertin. It displays a deep ruby colour with slight purplish reflections. The intriguing bouquet offers red berry fruit, brown spices, hints of Earl Grey, plum, earth, violet, and a touch of the sauvage. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, fresh, and vibrant, with sappy red fruit, fine delineation, melting tannins, and a saline finish. Expect silky tannins, balanced acidity, and elegant length supported by fine minerality, culminating in a muscular, dusty, rustic finish. 【A superb Gevrey-Chambertin from old vines (some pre-war), offering a darker, more rugged side of the appellation with meaty depth and intense concentration, promising excellent aging potential.】
🍴 This elegant Pinot Noir pairs wonderfully with aged matured ribeye steak, herb-crusted rack of lamb, well-aged Epoisses cheese, or wild mushroom dishes in sauce. It's also an excellent match for red meats like beef or lamb, game such as venison, duck, goose, and other game birds.
🥂 This wine is built to age and should repay 7 to 10 years of cellaring, with excellent potential for further development in the bottle. Decanting for 30 minutes is recommended for young wines to fully reveal their aromas. It's an excellent choice for a refined tasting at the end of a meal or a special occasion.
