🏰 The 2018 Arlaud Gevrey Chambertin is a 【smooth, juicy, and floral village red】 from a highly respected producer, offering a wonderful sense of minerality. This Pinot Noir displays a dark purple-red hue with a reserved yet detailed bouquet of mixed berries, succulent strawberry, and raspberry fruit, complemented by refined new wood and chalky minerality. The palate is very detailed with fine, supple, and caressing tannins, framing layers of black cherry and raspberry fruit, leading to a slightly peppery, harmonious, and long, intense finish.
🍴 This elegant red Burgundy is an excellent choice for pairing with roasted root vegetables, smoky grilled aubergine and zucchini, or classic dishes like duck, goose, and other game birds.
🥂 Ideal for a cozy dinner with friends or a special occasion where a charming and approachable red Burgundy is desired. It is drinking well now, with a recommended window of 2021-2026.
