FEATURES
🏰 The 2023 Bienaime Le Chardonnay de Bruno Bienaime is a rare and artisan Jura Chardonnay, a new project from Bruno Bienaimé, who brings a decade of experience from working with Vincent Laval in Champagne. He meticulously farms 3.2 hectares organically on Jurassic limestone and marl soils in Ardon, with minimal intervention and natural vinification. This wine is praised for its precise, dry, and linear style, focusing on natural minerality and tension, often evoking the wines of esteemed producers like Domaine Labet. It offers a pure identity, structured by vibrant acidity and a limestone-driven profile, showcasing tension, fluidity, and depth without excess. The minerality leads, revealing notes of wet stone, white tea, and lemon peel, culminating in a persistent salty finish. Expect an austere elegance, with aromas of pear compote, ethereal notes of verbena and sage, and a warm scent of cinnamon bark and sandalwood. The palate is soft and caressing, yet possesses considerable power and opulence, with herbal undertones. Critics have rated it highly, with an average of 92/100 points.
🍴 This versatile Jura Chardonnay pairs exquisitely with grilled fish, vegetable tempura, and herb-roasted poultry. It's also a fantastic match for oysters, aged cheeses like Comté or Beaufort, wild mushroom dishes, and even duck, goose, and other game birds.
🥂 This artisan white is perfect for connoisseurs of precision wines, a sophisticated dinner, or for exploring the unique terroir of the Jura region. While excellent young, it will develop greater complexity and depth with bottle age, with a recommended drinking window from 2024 to 2032, or even 2025 to 2035. It greatly benefits from aeration, with some suggesting opening it a day in advance. Serve at 10-13°C.
