🏰 Domaine Jacques Prieur's Chambertin Grand Cru is a powerful, virile, and concentrated wine with excellent structure, embodying the essence of this prestigious Burgundy appellation. While specific vintage notes for 1992 are not readily available, Chambertin Grand Cru wines are renowned for their incredible aromatic complexity, often revealing an alchemy of black fruit, licorice, cinnamon, undergrowth, and leather. This wine is a classic expression of Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy's most revered terroirs. 【A classic Grand Cru Pinot Noir, ideal for intimate dinners and special celebrations】
🍴 This elegant red Burgundy is an ideal gastronomic partner for roast duck or pigeon with a rich jus reduction, game birds, or venison with wild mushrooms. It also pairs beautifully with veal or lamb served with truffle-based sauces, or with mature, delicate cheeses such as aged Comté or Brillat-Savarin. Beef dishes are also a recommended pairing.
🥂 The Jacques Prieur Chambertin Grand Cru 1992 shines during intimate dinners, special celebrations, or contemplative tastings with seasoned wine lovers, where its subtle evolution can be fully appreciated.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Jacques Prieur is a relatively large Burgundy producer that makes both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from esteemed vineyard holdings across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, France. The history of the domaine began in the 1860s, with the marriage of Claude Duvergey and Marie Taboureau. They first established the wine and spirits merchant business, Duvergey-Taboureau House, before buying property in Meursault – now the site of the modern Domaine Jacques Priuer.
