Thibault Liger Belair, Nuits Saint Georges La Charmotte, 2018
🏰The 2018 vintage in Burgundy was generally warm and generous, producing ripe, opulent wines with good concentration. Thibault Liger-Belair, a highly respected producer, is known for his biodynamic practices and for crafting powerful yet elegant wines that truly express their terroir. His Nuits-Saint-Georges La Charmotte from 2018 would be a prime example of a wine balancing richness with structure.
【Expect a rich and expressive aromatic profile of dark cherries, blackberries, and plums, intertwined with earthy notes, savory spice, and a hint of licorice or game.】 The palate should be full-bodied and concentrated, with firm yet polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, powerful finish that promises excellent aging potential.
🍴 This robust red Burgundy is an excellent partner for roasted game meats like venison or wild boar, beef Wellington, or rich stews. It also pairs beautifully with strong, aged cheeses and dishes featuring truffles.
🥂 Ideal for a celebratory dinner, a serious Burgundy tasting, or as a valuable addition to a wine cellar. This wine will benefit from decanting if enjoyed in its youth, and has the structure to age gracefully for many years.
