🏰 The 2020 Pierre Boisson Meursault Les Criots is a 【vibrant white 布根地 from a promising vintage, known for its characteristic richness, roundness, and delightful nutty flavors of almonds and hazelnuts】. Meursault wines typically display notes of lemon zest, green and yellow apple, unripe pineapple, crème fraîche, mushrooms, buttery toasted hazelnuts, and white stone minerality, often with high acidity and a long finish.
🍴 This Meursault pairs beautifully with subtle and fine-textured fish or meat, such as grilled lobster, crawfish, king prawns in garlic butter sauce, or poultry and veal with white sauce. Dishes with aromatic and crisp textures complement its lively minerality and acidity. Soft to semi-hard cheeses like Brie or Gruyere are excellent choices, as are creamy, washed-rind cheeses, especially with a bit of age.
🥂 This Meursault is suitable for elegant dinners, celebrations, or as a sophisticated aperitif. Its youthful vibrancy suggests it can be enjoyed now for its fresh fruit and mineral notes, or cellared for further development and complexity.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Pierre Boisson/Anne Boisson is a family winery. The winery is run by father Bernard (retired in 2016), son Pierre and daughter Anne. Although it is the same winery, the wines produced by the three people will be labeled separately. on their respective names. They jointly own 8.5 hectares of land around the Cote de Beaune, and the vineyard's terroir is wet stone and flint, giving the grapes more minerality.
