🏰The 2008 Henri Germain Meursault Charmes 1er Cru is a 【generous and flattering white Burgundy from a top Premier Cru vineyard】, known for its opulent character. The 2008 vintage in Burgundy for white wines was generally considered a good, classic vintage, producing wines with excellent acidity and freshness, allowing for good aging potential. Meursault Charmes wines are 100% Chardonnay, often displaying notes of candied lemon, almonds, white flowers, and freshly baked bread, with a smooth and velvety palate.
🍴 This rich and complex white Burgundy is ideal with fine fish, shellfish, white meats, and poultry in cream sauce. It would be superb with grilled lobster, crayfish, or king prawns in garlic butter. Foie gras and blue cheese are also excellent pairings. For a more adventurous pairing, try teriyaki chicken meatballs.
🥂 Perfect for a celebratory dinner, a special family gathering, or an occasion where a luxurious and age-worthy white wine is appreciated. Serve at 12-14°C. While still vibrant, a brief aeration of 15-30 minutes can help it express its full aromatic complexity.
