FEATURES
🏰 【From the excellent 2005 vintage, Bart's Marsannay Les Grandes Vignes offers a superb expression from Burgundy's only village appellation producing red, white, and rose wines.】 The 2005 vintage in Burgundy was highly acclaimed, yielding concentrated, structured, and long-lived Pinot Noirs. This wine, from the well-regarded "Les Grandes Vignes" lieu-dit, typically showcases vibrant red fruit aromas, often with notes of cherry and raspberry, complemented by earthy undertones and a hint of spice from oak aging. Expect a wine with good structure, balanced acidity, and approachable tannins, reflecting the quality of the vintage and the terroir.
🍴 This versatile red Burgundy pairs beautifully with a range of dishes. It's an excellent match for roasted poultry, grilled pork tenderloin, or lighter game birds. Consider classic Burgundy pairings like coq au vin or beef bourguignon. It also complements mushroom-based dishes, charcuterie, and a variety of cheeses, particularly Comte or Epoisses.
🥂 Ideal for a casual yet elegant dinner, a gathering with friends, or as a delightful introduction to the charms of Marsannay. This wine is likely in a beautiful drinking window now, but still has potential for further evolution.
