🏰 The 2014 vintage in Côte-Rôtie produced wines that are ripe yet pristine, with fresh and juicy blackberry and cassis notes. Delas Frères Côte-Rôtie Seigneur de Maugiron 2014 is described as elegant and medium-bodied, lifted by crisp acidity and taut, persistent tannins. It offers a powerful yet subtle nose of blackcurrant, redcurrant, licorice, and smoky aromas, underscored with light woody notes. The palate shows a tightly-knit tannic framework, well-balanced with a silky texture, combining fine concentration with great delicacy. The finish lingers on delicate notes of cocoa, licorice, and black pepper. It is composed of 100% Syrah and is considered at its peak now through 2030. 【Elegant and concentrated Côte-Rôtie with a silky texture and persistent tannins】
🍴 This Côte-Rôtie is an excellent pairing for fine meats, roast beef, waterfowl, truffles, and spicy stews. Its savory notes also make it a good match for lamb, especially roasted or grilled preparations.
🥂 Ideal for a sophisticated dinner, a special gathering with friends, or a celebratory meal. It's recommended to open the bottle one to three hours before serving and decant if the wine has been laid down for more than five years to allow its complex aromas to fully develop.
