🏰The 2024 Roc d'Anglade Anglada Rouge is a 【refined, gastronomic micro-cuvée from a key player in Languedoc's winemaking revival】, blending 60% Cinsault and 40% Syrah. This wine hails from unique terroir at the crossroads of Rhône and Mediterranean influences, with stony soils composed of clay and silica overlying limestone marl. The vineyard is organically farmed, with manual harvesting and a focus on avoiding over-maturity to maintain finesse. The wine displays a brilliant garnet color with purplish highlights. The nose opens with aromas of ripe red fruit, sweet spices, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, the wine is silky and balanced, supported by lovely freshness and refined tannins. The long, lingering finish reveals an elegant complexity, underscoring the authentic character of this terroir-driven wine. It has a floral abundance and very appealing fruit, almost reminiscent of the great Nebbiolos of Italian Piedmont.
🍴 This wine pairs perfectly with roast lamb, grilled duck breast, or refined Mediterranean cuisine. It also complements beef, veal, pasta, or a tajine of yellow poultry with Kalamata black olives, bulgur with thyme oil and currants.
🥂 An excellent choice for a sophisticated dinner, a gathering with friends, or for those exploring high-quality, terroir-driven wines from the Languedoc. It's a wine that offers both immediate pleasure and potential for short-term aging.
Recommended to serve at 17°C (63°F) and decant for 2 hours in its youth. Best to drink between 2028-2034.
