🏰 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru is one of Burgundy's most revered vineyards, often commanding prices comparable to Grand Crus due to its exceptional quality and finesse. The name 'Les Amoureuses' (the lovers) perfectly encapsulates the delicate and feminine character of the wine it produces. The 2014 vintage in Burgundy was generally considered a good year, producing wines with freshness, elegance, and good aging potential. This Amiot Servelle expression is expected to be a masterpiece of finesse and complexity. It typically presents a ruby or cherry-like hue. On the nose, expect a seductive palette of aromas constantly in flux, often starting with raspberry or kirsch flavors, followed by fleeting truffle or mushroom aromas, and ending on a humus note. The woody character is subtle and integrates delicately. On the palate, the tannins are never at the forefront but blend seamlessly, offering a silky and velvety texture that leaves an ethereal impression of supreme refinement. This deeply colored wine shows subtle aromas of violets and spices, with round, firm flavors.
🍴 This exquisite red Burgundy demands delicately prepared dishes. Ideal pairings include duck cooked with cherries (Canard aux cerises), beef with morels (Boeuf aux morilles), finely cooked red meats, and delicate cheeses that are ripe but not too strong.
🥂 Given its reputation and aging potential, this wine is perfect for significant celebrations, romantic dinners, or as a centerpiece for a serious wine tasting. It's a wine to age, improving in the bottle for 15 to 20 years, making it an exceptional addition to any cellar. 【Burgundy's most romantic and refined Premier Cru】
BACKGROUND
Domaine Amiot Servelle is a leading wine producer based in the village of Chambolle-Musigny in Burgundy's Côte d'Or district, with seven hectares (17 acres) of Pinot Noir vines. This includes vines from six premier vineyards. The company produces a range of wines from the region's top vineyards, including wines from the renowned Les Amoureuses vineyard, dominated by Pinot Noir. The history of the winery can be traced back to the 1920s. The owner's grandfather began planting grape vines in the village, and his parents also founded a winery. The owner himself founded Domaine Amiot-Servelle in 1989.
