🏰The Henri Bonneau Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve des Celestins 2016 is a legendary red wine from a traditional, cult producer in the Southern Rhone, representing his top cuvée crafted from very old Grenache vines. The 2016 vintage was excellent in the Southern Rhone, known for its balance and freshness alongside ripeness. Expect an intense aromatic profile of 【ripe dark fruits like blackberry and cherry, garrigue (herbs such as thyme and rosemary), exotic spices including licorice and black pepper, and profound earthy undertones】. On the palate, it should be full-bodied, rich, and concentrated, with powerful yet integrated tannins and a long, complex finish that speaks of its ancient terroir.
🍴 This profound Chateauneuf du Pape is an ideal partner for roasted lamb, hearty beef stew, rich game meats such as venison and wild boar, strong cheeses, or robust Mediterranean cuisine.
