🏰 The 2020 Bernard Faurie Hermitage Meal Bessards comes from a Rhône Valley vintage that is looking to be 【very successful, producing pure, elegant wines that excel on their balance and freshness】. Despite a hot and dry year, the wines show superb terroir expression with higher acidity levels and firm, supple tannins. The Northern Rhône reds, in particular, are spellbinding, with superb freshness and rich fruit. This Hermitage is expected to be very well defined and possess a particularly seductive profile, with delicious red and black fruit aromas.
🍴 This powerful Syrah would be an excellent match for roasted red meats like beef tenderloin or venison, hearty stews, or strong, aged cheeses. For an Asian pairing, consider Korean BBQ short ribs, a rich lamb curry, or a robust Szechuan beef dish.
🥂 Ideal for a celebratory dinner, a special occasion with discerning guests, or a cozy evening by the fireplace. This wine is approachable now, offering early drinking pleasure, but also possesses the depth and structure to suggest great aging potential.
