🏰 The 2017 vintage for white Burgundy, including Auxey-Duresses, generally produced wines with good ripeness and freshness. Pierre Boisson, a rising star in Burgundy, crafts this Auxey-Duresses Blanc Les Clous 1er Cru with a focus on purity and minerality. Expect an elegant expression, often showcasing bright citrus notes like Meyer lemon, green apple, and sometimes a hint of apricot or white flowers. There's usually a lovely saline minerality and a refined balance that makes it a delightful white Burgundy.
🍴 This versatile white Burgundy is a fantastic match for a range of dishes. Consider pairing it with delicate seafood, such as pan-seared scallops or grilled fish. It also complements creamy pasta dishes, rich fish like salmon or tuna, and mild, soft cheeses. For a more elaborate meal, a creamy mushroom risotto would be exquisite.
🥂 Perfect for an elegant dinner party, a celebratory lunch, or a sophisticated gathering with friends where fine white wine is appreciated. Its balance and freshness make it suitable for both aperitif and main course enjoyment. 【Cult producer known for elegant, mineral-driven white Burgundy.】
BACKGROUND
Domaine Pierre Boisson/Anne Boisson is a family winery. The winery is run by father Bernard (retired in 2016), son Pierre and daughter Anne. Although it is the same winery, the wines produced by the three people will be labeled separately. on their respective names. They jointly own 8.5 hectares of land around the Cote de Beaune, and the vineyard's terroir is wet stone and flint, giving the grapes more minerality.
