🏰Carre Freres Les Maladries is a single-site Blanc de Noirs Champagne, crafted from 100% Pinot Noir planted in 2005 in the Grand Cru village of Verzy. Verzy, located in the Montagne de Reims, is renowned for its Pinot Noir, which produces elegant and structured wines with a focus on freshness, minerality, and balance. Édouard and Victor Carré, fourth-generation vignerons, combine heritage roots with minimal-intervention methods and long élevage in barrel and bottle.
This Champagne offers a deep gold color with a gorgeous nose full of 【sweet, honeyed toast, concentrated fig, and brambles】. The palate follows with sweet oak, blueberries, and honey, showcasing a lovely weight to the fruit that holds superbly, leading to a wonderfully fiery and complex finish. Expect subtle and balanced aromas of red fruits, lemons, spices, herbs, and toasted bread.
🍴 Excellent as an aperitif. Pairs well with delicate seafood, oysters, sushi, or light poultry dishes. Its complexity also allows it to stand up to richer appetizers or even some white meats.
🥂 A superb choice for celebrations, aperitifs, or as a sophisticated accompaniment to a gourmet meal, highlighting the elegance of a Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs.
