🏰Peter Jakob Kühn's Lenchen Riesling Kabinett 2017 is a 【brilliant example of biodynamically produced Rheingau Riesling】, from a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture, showcasing the mineral-driven character of the renowned Oestrich Lenchen vineyard. The 2017 Rheingau Riesling vintage was smaller than usual due to severe spring frosts, followed by a hot, dry summer. Despite challenges, the best wines show great expressiveness and diamond-like brightness, with fresh acidity and a good balance of ripeness and minerality. Expect a very nice fresh fruit nose with a bit of vanilla, intense citrus notes (lemon, lime), green apple, and stone fruits (peach, apricot). The palate is fresh, light, and lively, with vibrant and refreshing acidity, slight sweetness, and spicy notes, often with hints of ginger and pink grapefruit.
🍴 This versatile Kabinett is magnificent with spicy cuisine like Thai curries, Szechuan dishes, Mexican salsas, or Indian tandoori. It's also sublime with smoked items (salmon, trout, pork), mildly salty cheeses (Gorgonzola dolcelatte, Brie, Camembert, Feta), baked ham, sushi, shrimp tempura, pork schnitzel, goat's cheese, or fruit tarts.
🥂 Perfect as an aperitif or with a wide range of flavorful dishes. Serve well chilled, around 8-10°C (46-50°F), to highlight its crisp acidity and vibrant fruitiness.
