🏰 The 2007 vintage in Champagne was marked by an early flowering and a challenging summer, yet a fine September allowed for excellent ripening, contributing to the quality of this prestigious vintage. Perrier-Jouët La Belle Époque 2007 is celebrated for its elegance and distinctive floral character, presented in its iconic Emile Gallé-designed bottle, making it instantly recognizable and highly sought after. 【標誌性花卉瓶身與優雅年份香檳】
Expect a delicate and elegant Champagne with a beautiful pale gold hue and a fine, persistent mousse. The nose reveals enchanting notes of white flowers, such as hawthorn and acacia, intertwined with vibrant citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit. Hints of white peach and pear add to its aromatic complexity. On the palate, it is fresh, vibrant, and impeccably balanced, leading to a long and graceful finish. With further aging, subtle nuances of brioche, toasted nuts, and honeyed complexity can emerge, adding depth and richness.
🥂 La Belle Époque is synonymous with celebration and luxury, making it the perfect choice for a wide array of special occasions. It is ideal for weddings, anniversaries, significant milestones, or any event that calls for a truly memorable and exquisite sparkling wine. Its inherent elegance also makes it a superb aperitif or a sophisticated accompaniment to a gourmet brunch.
🍴 This exquisite Champagne pairs beautifully with delicate dishes such as fresh oysters, seared scallops, fine caviar, delicate white fish, and sushi. It also complements light poultry dishes and can be wonderfully enjoyed with aged Parmesan or other hard, salty cheeses, enhancing both the wine and the food.
BACKGROUND
The vineyards of Perrier-Jouët encompass 65 hectares (161 acres), with each plot being picked and vinified separately before being blended into its eventual cuvée. The blend is chosen by current cellar master, Herve Deschamps, who is just the seventh cellar master in the house's history. Chardonnay is used above Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and gives a house style that is fruit-driven, floral and elegant. The wines are then aged for a minimum of three years underground in Perrier-Jouët's chalk cellars before release.
