🏰 The 2014 vintage in Burgundy for red wines is celebrated for its elegance and transparency, producing wines with a classic profile. Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg's 2014 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is a beautiful example, offering a complex nose of flowers, fruits, and subtle woody scents. On the palate, it presents an ample, rich, and silky mouthfeel with outstanding balance and a remarkable aftertaste. Expect notes of red and black cherries, a touch of red plum, mustard seed, earthy tones, and hints of gamebird and cedary wood. This powerful, broad-shouldered wine is structured with ripe tannins, delivering stunning length and grip. While approachable after about 7 to 8 years, it possesses significant aging potential, promising further evolution and complexity. 【Benchmark for pleasure and drinkability in Clos de Vougeot】
🍴 This exquisite red Burgundy pairs wonderfully with classic French cuisine such as roasted duck breast with cherry sauce, beef bourguignon, or a selection of mature, earthy cheeses. For an Eastern culinary experience, consider Peking duck, or braised shiitake mushrooms with a rich soy glaze.
🥂 An ideal choice for a milestone anniversary, a sophisticated dinner party with fellow wine enthusiasts, or as a treasured addition to a serious wine collection, ready to be enjoyed over the coming decades.
