🏰 The 2019 vintage in Burgundy is generally well-regarded, offering wines with both richness and freshness. Faiveley's Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2019 is expected to be a wine of significant aging potential, improving over 20 to 25 years. This Grand Cru is known for its intense and expansive nose, revealing notes of black berries. On the palate, it presents a fine, full texture with very unctuous tannins. Charmes-Chambertin wines are celebrated for their aromatic subtlety, often showcasing black currant, cherry, liquorice, and violet notes.
🍴 This powerful and elegant red Burgundy pairs beautifully with elaborate and strongly flavored dishes. Consider classic pairings such as mutton, boeuf bourguignon, coq au vin, or game dishes like venison terrine or hare stew. It also complements grilled or roasted lamb, ribeye steak, and strong cheeses like Epoisses, Langres, or Munster.
🥂 The Faiveley Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2019 is perfect for significant celebrations, formal dinners, or as a centerpiece for a special tasting event. Its complexity and aging potential make it an ideal wine for marking milestones or enjoying with fellow connoisseurs. Serve at 15-16°C to allow its full aromatic profile to unfold.
