🏰 The 2009 vintage in Champagne was characterized by warmth and generosity, producing wines with immediate appeal and fruit richness. Pol Roger's Rosé Vintage 2009 is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, with 15% still red Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, contributing to its vinous character. It's noted for its sophisticated simplicity and has been aged for seven years on its lees, contributing to its complexity and structure. This Rosé Champagne is immediately eye-catching with its salmon-pink hue and fine bubbles. The nose offers great aromatic complexity, combining fresh red fruits, sweet buttery brioche, and a spicy, detailed finish. On the palate, it exudes freshness and elegance, with notes of exotic fruits harmonizing with floral undertones, leading to an outstandingly fresh and powerful finish with hints of dried fruit. Some notes also mention raspberry, plum, ginger, and red citrus. 【 Elegant and refined vintage Rosé Champagne from a prestigious house 】
🍴 The Brut Rosé Vintage 2009 is an ideal choice to accompany fish such as grilled salmon or sushi. It also pairs perfectly with fruit tarts and other fruit desserts, like a forced rhubarb fool, where the fruit's sharpness complements the wine's elegant structure. Other suggestions include prawns, scallops, seared tuna, seafood paella, and even charcuterie.
🥂 Perfect as an aperitif, for celebratory brunches, elegant garden parties, or any special occasion that calls for a refined and versatile sparkling wine. It's drinking beautifully now but can hold for another 4-5 years.
