🏰 The 1988 vintage in the Northern Rhône was generally considered a good year, producing wines with solid structure and excellent aging potential. E. Guigal's Hermitage Rouge 1988, from a producer celebrated for their mastery of Syrah, would have developed beautifully over the decades. Expect a wine that balances power with elegance, showcasing the classic Hermitage profile of dark fruits, black pepper, and savory notes, possibly with evolving hints of leather and game. 【 Guigal的Syrah釀造大師級工藝 】
🍴 This mature Hermitage Rouge would be magnificent with roasted lamb, venison stew, or a rich beef Wellington. For an Eastern culinary experience, consider a slow-braised beef brisket with star anise or a robust Peking duck.
🥂 Perfect for a significant milestone celebration, a gathering of serious wine collectors, or a luxurious evening dedicated to exploring aged Rhône wines.
BACKGROUND
E Guigal is one of the most famous wine producers in the Rhône. The company was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis on the west bank of the Rhone, just a stone's throw from the famous sun-baked slopes of the Côte Rôtie. Guigard's flagship wines are the famous "LaLa": La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque. La Landonne is 100% Syrah, from 40-year-old vines and aged in oak barrels for a similar amount of time.
