Bouchard Pere Et Fils, Corton-charlemagne Grand Cru, 2008
🏰 The 2008 vintage in 布根地 (Burgundy) was a challenging year that ultimately produced some very good white wines, especially for those producers who managed their vineyards meticulously. Bouchard Père et Fils' Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2008 is a classic example of this appellation, known for its impressive layered floral, green fruit, lime, and stone-infused nose. The palate is citrusy, precise, and powerful, with mineral-driven flavors that possess real muscle on the almost painfully intense and steely finish, delivering striking length. It offers intense aromas of fruit and toasted bread mixed with the mineral notes typical of this appellation. It's a rich, powerful wine with a strong personality and very good aging potential. Some tasters find it unbelievably fresh for its age, with green apple, pear, honey, and intense citrus flavors, and tremendous acidity on the finish. 【A classic Corton-Charlemagne with impressive layered aromas and powerful, mineral-driven flavors, built for longevity】.
🍴 This powerful white 布根地 (Burgundy) wine pairs beautifully with rich seafood dishes like roasted scallops or turbot, poultry in cream sauces, and mature, firm cheeses such as Comté or aged Gruyère. It also complements dishes with a hint of truffle or roasted root vegetables.
🥂 Ideal for a significant dinner, a special occasion, or a vertical tasting of Corton-Charlemagne. Its complexity and aging potential make it a rewarding experience for serious wine enthusiasts.
