FEATURES
The 2024 Pierre Olivier Garcia Nuits Saint Georges Les Charmois is a very young, unreleased vintage, offering a glimpse into future potential. Nuits-Saint-Georges 'Les Charmois' is a distinguished lieu-dit in 布根地, known for its northeast-facing slopes and clay-rich soils. This terroir typically results in Pinot Noir that ripens later, displaying a pretty fruit character alongside pronounced earthiness and a firm, structured profile. While specific tasting notes for the 2024 are not yet available, wines from this vineyard generally offer a deep red color with powerful and elegant aromas of cherry and blackberry, often complemented by hints of cedarwood. They are typically structured yet approachable, balancing ripe fruit with firm architectural lines, and present a rich palate with bright acidity and fine tannins. 【A Nuits-Saint-Georges lieu-dit known for its firm structure, pronounced earthiness, and pretty fruit character.】
🍴 This future red 布根地 will be an excellent pairing for classic French cuisine. Consider roasted poultry, game birds, mushroom-based dishes, or lighter red meats such as duck confit or pork tenderloin. Its inherent structure will also stand up to richer stews as it ages.
🥂 This 2024 vintage is a wine to lay down and anticipate. It's perfect for a long-term cellar investment, a future milestone celebration, or a special gathering of Burgundy enthusiasts eager to taste a young expression of a renowned terroir.
BACKGROUND
Originally named Moron-Garcia, Domaine Pierre-Olivier Garcia is located in Burgundy, France. The primary grape varieties are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It was co-founded in 2016 by childhood friends Mathieu Moron and Pierre-Olivier Garcia. The inspiration came from Pierre-Olivier Garcia's father, Jean-Pierre Garcia, a renowned geologist at the University of Burgundy, who gifted him a vineyard in the village of Nuits Saint Georges called "Les Charmois," spanning just 0.4 hectares. Subsequently, Mathieu and Pierre-Olivier purchased a house in the center of Nuits Saint Georges, which they converted into a winery and cellar, marking the beginning of the domaine's history.
