FEATURES
André Clouet's "Un Jour de 1911" is a special cuvée, a tribute to the Belle Époque and a memory of France's Golden Age, inspired by bottles from the early 1900s found hidden in cellars for over 80 years. This prestigious Blanc de Noirs is crafted entirely from Pinot Noir grapes, primarily from Grand Cru vineyards in Bouzy and Ambonnay, known for their chalk soils. Only 1911 bottles are produced annually, commemorating the year of a revolt that defended the origin of Champagne, making it an extremely limited production.
This non-vintage Champagne is a blend of different vintages, with some editions featuring 50% from the acclaimed 2008 vintage and 50% older reserve juice, aged for an extended period on its lees—some for 6 years, others for 8 to 12 years, or even 96-100 months. It presents a medium golden, copper yellow color with fine and elegant bubbles. On the nose, expect complex aromas of vanilla, honey, bread crust, sweet pastry, toasted apple, citrus foam, lemon, baked apple, pear, light apricot, toast, and flowers. The palate is elegant, creamy, powerful, and rich, with notes of yeast, almonds, red fruits, apricots, pears, brioche, caramel, and lemon cake, balanced by pleasant acidity and a long, refined finish. 【A rare, limited-production Blanc de Noirs, a tribute to the Belle Époque, with exceptional aging potential.】
🍴 Food Pairing: This versatile Champagne is excellent as an aperitif or paired with sushi, risotto, foie gras, pheasant, poultry, cheese, sweetbreads, guinea fowl, and smoked fish.
