🏰 The 2020 Ramonet Bourgogne Bouzeron is a delightful expression of Aligoté, showcasing the grape's 【crisp acidity and vibrant minerality from a top producer】. While detailed vintage notes for this specific bottling are scarce, 2020 in Burgundy was generally a warm and dry vintage, yielding ripe fruit with good concentration, yet often retaining freshness due to careful vineyard management. Expect bright citrus notes, green apple, and a distinctive saline minerality, often with a hint of almond or hazelnut. The palate should be lively and refreshing, with a clean, zesty finish that makes it incredibly food-friendly.
🍴 This zesty white Burgundy is fantastic with fresh seafood, such as oysters, grilled prawns, or pan-seared scallops. It also pairs wonderfully with goat cheese salads, light poultry dishes, or even sushi and sashimi. For a Cantonese pairing, try it with steamed scallops with vermicelli and garlic, or salt and pepper squid.
🥂 Perfect for a casual lunch on a sunny day, an aperitif with friends, or a seafood feast. Its refreshing character makes it an excellent choice for any occasion where a crisp, unoaked white wine is desired.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Ramonet is a prominent wine producer in the Burgundy appellations of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, France. Ramonet owns more than 15 hectares (37 acres) of vineyards. The primary grape variety is Chardonnay, with a small amount of Pinot Noir also planted. The estate's most important wines are made from Chardonnay from the area's grand cru vineyards, and are highly collectible, often selling for high prices at auction. Domaine Ramonet makes several red wines from Pinot Noir as well. Domaine Ramonet is now run by Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, following the death of their father Pierre in the mid-1990s.
