FEATURES
The 2008 vintage in Champagne is widely regarded as exceptional, often hailed as one of the best of the past decade. It experienced a cool and wet spring, followed by a summer with ample sunshine and warmth, allowing for slow, even grape development and optimal maturity with balanced acidity. The harvest began in mid-September under favourable conditions. The resulting wines are known for remarkable freshness, complexity, and ageing potential, combining both quality and quantity. Henriot's Cuvée Hemera 2008 is a blend of six Grand Crus, equally split between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, aged for over 12-13 years on its lees. The Cuvée Hemera 2008 is described as elegant and rich, with very fine bubbles and a zesty finish. It offers notes of grapefruit, apricot, lemon, toast, bread, white peach, bergamot oil, fresh hazelnut, lemon cream, green almond, quince, crushed stone, and a faint echo of warm brioche. It has a pure, generous Champagne style with a mineral touch and a little flint. The wine shows a beautiful balance between fruitiness and acidity, with complexity and finesse. It is still youthful and structured, with significant ageing potential. 【 An exceptional Grand Cru Champagne from the highly acclaimed 2008 vintage, showcasing remarkable freshness, complexity, and longevity after extended lees ageing. 】
