Georges Mugneret Gibourg, Ruchottes Chambertin Grand Cru, 2017
🏰 The 2017 vintage for red Burgundy, including Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru, was generally very good and often excellent, described as a 'nuanced, terroir-driven vintage'. It offered plenty of fragrance, attractive fruit, lacy tannins, and a strong expression of terroir, with an overall air of transparency and approachability. Many considered it a 'good restaurant vintage' due to its exuberant drinkability upon release. The reds were noted for being juicy and crisp, embodying a classic style that Burgundians themselves would appreciate. This vintage is particularly praised for its ability to distinguish individual vineyards and terroirs with satisfying clarity.
🍴 This elegant Grand Cru Burgundy pairs beautifully with roasted game birds like duck or pheasant, mushroom-based dishes, coq au vin, or delicate grilled lamb. It also complements soft, earthy cheeses.
🥂 Ideal for fine dining experiences, special family meals, or as a thoughtful gift for a discerning Burgundy enthusiast. Its classic expression of Pinot Noir makes it perfect for enjoying with refined cuisine. 【 A classic, terroir-driven vintage offering transparency and approachability from a revered Grand Cru vineyard 】
