WINE REGION
France Burgundy Echezeaux
FEATURES
The 2014 Domaine Anne Gros Echezeaux Les Loachausses Grand Cru is a highly regarded red Burgundy, known for its elegant and poised character. The 2014 vintage for red Burgundies was generally considered delicious with terroir-driven mid-weights. This particular wine is crafted from 35-year-old Pinot Noir vines located in the 'Les Loachausses' lieu-dit within the Echezeaux Grand Cru appellation. Anne Gros is celebrated as one of Burgundy's top winemakers, with her limited production eagerly sought after by global collectors. 【Anne Gros's expert touch offers richer aromatics, rounder curves, and silkier tannins, making her wines irresistible.】 Tasting Notes: Expect aromas of black and red cherry, red plum, with subtle notes of licorice and spice. On the palate, it presents fine-grained tannins, a medium body, and a light peppery finish. Some tasters note a sour nose with red fruit, metal, and blood, suggesting it's a wine that needs time to evolve, with potential to 'wow' after 10 years. It's described as a shut-down wine at this moment, but with good structure and a nice focusing acid bite at the end. Food Pairing: This elegant red Burgundy pairs beautifully with classic French dishes. Consider aged local French cheese, charcuterie, or pork sausages with herbs. It also complements duck, goose, and other game birds. Fit to Event: This wine is perfect for a special occasion dinner, a sophisticated wine tasting, or as a prized addition to a serious collector's cellar. It's a wine to be savored and appreciated for its complexity and aging potential.
