The 2022 vintage from Yvon Clerget's Volnay is a testament to Thibaud Clerget's continuous refinement in winemaking, following his significant estate expansion. This vintage is celebrated for its stellar quality, offering a charming and delicious profile with ripe, delicate fruit. The nose is delicate, revealing profound notes of red fruits, rose petals, and black fruits, complemented by hints of cherry, plum, and earthy undertones. On the palate, it is refined and delicate, showcasing candied fruits, ample energy, and freshness. Expect good depth, a medium-full to full body, and a long finish with balanced acidity and tannins. 【Expanded estate and refined winemaking】
🍴 This Volnay pairs beautifully with charcuterie, charcoaled meats, a wide selection of cow's milk cheeses, and roast poultry. It also complements beef, veal, and game dishes.
🥂 This delightful and charming wine is perfect for a sophisticated dinner with friends. It can be enjoyed now with about 35 minutes of decanting or cellared to evolve further for another decade.
