Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Château Cantenac-Brown is a wine producer located in Margaux, on the left bank of the Gironde river in Bordeaux. It was established in the early 19th Century and was classified as a third growth in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc and Graves. Like most left-bank Bordeaux wines, Cantenac-Brown is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The vineyard is planted on gravelly soils shot through with white stones, which help to reflect the sun's warmth onto the grapes, helping ripening. The grand vin comes from vines that are on average 35 years old, and yields are kept in check by the viticulture team.
